Is border inspections not enough and better visibility into supply chain risk (and therefore reputational risk) not enough? United States Customs strongly encourages all CTPAT members to encourage their business partners to participate in CTPAT. Many importers have taken this message very seriously and require their domestic suppliers and suppliers to also be CTPAT certified in order to do business with them.
